Instance Inventory

As an instance grows, it becomes increasingly difficult to monitor and have visibility of what was and is being developed there, which is the problem that the Instance Inventory feature aims to address.

This functionality works best when applied to installed base implementations, providing the team with visibility into existing code and preventing the development of new code that could have unintended consequences.

To keep the inventory focused on what's most important and to reduce noise, we selected to bring only 20 classes that we believe are the most relevant:

  • Access Control (sys_security_acl)
  • Assignment Rule (sysrule_assignment)
  • Business Rule (sys_script)
  • Client Script (sys_script_client)
  • Data Policy (sys_data_policy2)
  • Dictionary Entry (sys_dictionary)
  • Fix Script (sys_script_fix)
  • Inbound Email Actions (sysevent_in_email_action)
  • Notification (sysevent_email_action)
  • Portal (sp_portal)
  • Role (sys_user_role)
  • Script Include (sys_script_include)
  • SLA Definition (contract_sla)
  • Table (sys_db_object)
  • UI Action (sys_ui_action)
  • UI Page (sys_ui_page)
  • UI Policy (sys_ui_policy)
  • UI Script (sys_ui_script)
  • View Rule (sysrule_view)
  • Workflow (wf_workflow)

Are there any other classes that you think might be useful? Please use our contact form to tell us more about it.
